Bruce Sargent is a Director at Sargent Baldwin Lawyers. Bruce has practised in top tier and boutique commercial firms in New Zealand before moving to Queensland in 2005 and joining a large regional firm.
Throughout his legal career Bruce has practiced mainly in the areas of Business Law, Property Law, Estate Planning, Estate Administration, in Hervey Bay and on the Sunshine Coast. In particular, Bruce enjoys assisting his business clients from start to finish including structuring of their business, business purchases/sales, leasing/buying properties and making sure their assets are protected through sound estate planning measures.
Bruce has been a Director/Owner of a number of successful businesses and understands what makes a businesses ‘tick.’
Prior to the Law, Bruce spent eight years as a specialist commercial property valuer in Brisbane and Hamilton, New Zealand. As a valuer, Bruce was involved in arbitrations and resumptions and was an expert witness in the High Court of New Zealand. Bruce practised in the areas of commercial property, hypothetical developments (land subdivisions and strata) and property consultancy. It was during this time that Bruce acquired a passion for the legal aspects of property. Bruce gets a ‘kick’ out of adding value to his clients through lateral thinking.
Bruce was admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2005 and the High Court of New Zealand in 2002 and is also a member of the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce, Caloundra Connect and of the local Rugby Union and Tennis Clubs. Bruce welcomes new clients and thanks existing clients for their continued support.
